Official 2020 Pelican Parts Gift Exchange Signup!

I've run the gift exchange a few times now and have not experienced an impeachment or other investigation I guess I did ok and will run it again this year.

Previous years we had "official" rules. I've reduced and simplified them. I am open to suggestions/comments for any changes that are deemed critical by the official judge (me!)

Until and unless there are any revisions (which will be edited/posted to this thread) the official rules are as follows:

1. Firm cutoff date for submittal is Saturday 12/5/2020! I plan to sort participants and send out final notices sometime that weekend.

2. PM me your Real Name, full shipping address and PP handle by 12/5 please.

3. On or by Sunday 12/6, you will receive a PM from me forwarding a name/address. This is whom you will send your gift to. I will post on this thread when all PM's have been sent. If you haven't received a PM once I announce they've all gone out, post here and I will resend it.

4. Postage has gotten increasingly expensive over the years - keep that in mind. USPS has a flat rate box anywhere in CONUS for around $10 regardless of weight if it fits in their box. A medium box is $15.

5. You're not supposed to go out and spend money on the gift you send. This is supposed to be something you already have and don't mind parting with. Gifts can be serious, funny, thoughtful, appropriate, Porsche related, non-Porsche related, specific for the recipient, indicative of the giver's taste, whatever.

6. Mail the gift in time for Christmas. Once you receive your gift, try not to open it right away...save it for Christmas. Don't peek. we seem to take liberties with this rule..if you peek, sure as eff don't post about it until Christmas..you can pretend to be surprised.

7. This is the most important rule - if you provide me your name you better participate. I've had three "participants" in the past several years that neglected to send a gift and ignored my PM's to them about it. If this happens again, I will OUT those folks on this thread to suffer the embarrassment of the OT community.

8. For those in Canada, we really need at least 2 participant so someone doesn't get stuck spending $50 for postage and dealing with customs, etc. I'm pretty certain that was the cause for some to drop out once I gave them their recipient (see rule #7 above.) If you are in Canada and can provide a US address - that will work as well. Last year I included Hawaii in this section - if you get a HI address recipient - pick your gift(s) to fit into those $15 flat rate boxes!
