I like listening to Peterson. He is an academic and practicing psych...You might say loosely that his knowledge base of the dark arts is from reading the manual. He knows the terminology.
I am more of a practitioner, I have taken the motor apart and put it together so many times that I can do it in my sleep. I know the how and why it works from the ground up, because that is where I started from.
Peterson is quite in awe of Jung as being a guiding light. For me Jung is not so much of a revelation but a confirmation.
You might think of it this way, Jung has given all the faces in the gallery a name to identify them, whereas I just know them by their faces. I am equally conversant with them.
