High insurance rates killed a lot of iconic model lines back then.
I was driving through a new area of Dallas a bit back and passed a shop that had a few sitting in the yard.

When I was young I looked at one at the local shop. It was black cherry (Durban Maroon?) colored and loved it. $2500 every six months for insurance for an 18 year old prevented that sale. The Shelby Charger of the era was just as bad for insurance.
