Ordered a pair of Infinity Reference 6432 cdc speakers after frying to mount the Retro Sound 4 x 6 units. The Retros are way small for the mounting studs. The Infinity units are better but also small.
Noodles a bit and used the U shaped clamps for holding a wire rack to the wall to hold the speakers in place. I cut one leg of the U flush with the bracket center and then slipped them over the studs and against the speaker frame. Removed leg on the speaker and remaining leg against the package shelf. Clamp stays level and speaker stays in place.
Voila!!
Now I'm waiting for my rewebbed seat belts to arrive Tuesday so I can reassemble everything and test it.
Still evaluating leaving the rears as the factory set up - mono center channel or running a wire for a standard 2 channel arrangement.
