I couldn't actually watch it when I first installed it it looked so overblown on the colors.
They tweek them up at the factory because they don't know which ones will be used for display in stores so all get the same treatment.

FWIW....there is an option that comes up at the very beginning of the setup sequence where you can choose either store display or home use. I chose home use, of course. But imagine the other option is what you were experiencing.

So far the picture is so good, I don't see the need to change it at all.

These TVs keep improving in technology as the prices drop. This is why I didn't get some expensive huge set. At some point when this one fades on me, I'll pull the trigger without regret because it wasn't some huge investment. And I know the next set for the same money will have even better technology.
