I am suprised to see this thread pop its head up again.

Am sad to say that the V8 is gone. The decision to switch was a tough one. As much as I want to club race in GT3, I will miss the feeling of close to 500Hp. Sure a turbo motor can be fast but just not the same. Will probably never again own a car with the fun factor of the V8 911. Yes the Porsche powered car will probably be a little faster on the track as I am removing 300 plus Lbs in the form of lighter motor, no radiator system, fiberglass fenders, etc, but will still not be the same. To have a guy in a new GT3 car come up and ask you how you pulled him or run down a new turbo in the straights is a rush. I will not miss the less than steller reliablity of the V8, Chevy did not build their motors to be race capable from the factory. Had my share of issues.

Anyhow on to the next chapter. Motor was built by Jarvis Tech, it is a 3.126 with 3.0 liter crank, 3.3 turbo jugs, Cosworth rods and piston, custom Electromotive fuel injection with crank fire twin plug, etc. Dynoed at 325Hp and 256Ft/Lb of torque. Should have it up and running in a couple of weeks. Should be fast but...not the same.
