I’m convinced that everybody reaches a stage in life where they don’t give an eff anymore. Maybe she was there? Hell she might not have even intended to insult, my grandfather grew up during WW2 and called the Japanese “Japs” until the day he died. Never in a negative context either, it would be stuff like “boy those Japs sure build nice cars now”.
