Just like a lot of things in life, you up your budget - things 'fit' better. The better brands like Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger, Polo- all are a lot more expensive than say Walmart............obvious. What's not so obvious is just how many more sizes are available. IE: XL shirt in slim fit or extreme slim fit. Or how 'bout large slim fit in a tall size?
It wasn't until some years ago I grew tired of buying ' nice' $40 shirts and spend another $20+ in tailoring. Then I visited Macys (somewhat close to me) and discovered their Mens department covered at least 8000 sqft. Every top brand you can name.
You could online and check their website for a jacket you're looking for, but their online inventory does not represent local brick & mortar inventory which is more diverse.
