A group of hikers is heading up a remote trail in Yellowstone. They pass a Ranger. Ranger says "You know that this is bear country?"

Yes - they say.

You prepared for bears? Ranger asks?

Yes - they say, and show him some bear bells, that jingle when they walk.

Good, says Ranger. This country has both Black Bears and Grizzlies.

Got it, say the hikers.

Do you know what Black Bear scat looks like? Asks Ranger? It is like dog poop but bigger and has a lot of berries in it.

Great, say the hikers. That is useful!

Hikers walk down the trail a few yards.

Wait, asks a hiker, what does Grizzly scat look like?

Exactly like Black Bear scat, says Ranger. Except there are bells in it.
