I had my compass points incorrect -- I also live on the NW side of a SE ridge. The ridge is in the middle of Ramapo Mountain State Forest.
Current forecast for our area is 12-16 inches. Which can mean 2 or more feet on my street. Then again, it can also mean 2 inches: don't forget, the weatherman is 90% correct, 10% of the time!
