Not so much for Porsches, but I see discussions about MPG often in the comments section for other cars. If MPG matters when buying a car, then ya ain't wealthy. And also lots of comments asking about minor items that are $100 or $200 to take care of.
Are there some wealthy people who want a specific car and bid on it, without caring much about the price? Sure. But that's not the typical BAT buyer. The typical buyer IMO is a middle income person who gets caught up in the frenzy and overpays. I enjoy watching auctions at BAT but would never buy anything there. Not so much because of price but because I have no idea what I'm buying. Anyone can hire a professional photographer and make the biggest POS look good. But that's me, obviously BAT has enough buyers to not care about people like me. And that's cool. They figured out their business model well.
