Just don't have the build and tub strength of a 964.

I'm sure you are correct. In 1998 I was much younger with limited resources. Bought the 91 964 for a million yen hit in left front pillar. It was then fairly late model and clean doctor's car, black, sunroof, 5 speed manual and 30 K on the clock (maybe 20 k miles). Repaired it myself and drove it for a year. I never then had any inclination on mods, never even crossed my mind. The only mod I did was put a 993 turbo wing on it which I got from M.A. Shaw. That was going on my RUF BTR or so I planned but I put it on that car temporarily, and yes, it looked like hell I always thought. Nor will it go on the BTR from now even though I still have it, sprayed black first, 99'sprayed yellow for the BTR when we did the whole car. Funny, during the time of the 964 repair, I had my guys here respray the whole car cause they did top paint work just to make it look right. It was a 3.5k job then (in house even at discount for me) but the shacho wanted a bottle of blue pills oh so desperately. He said, get me one and the paint job is free. Yeah, a 300 dollar paint job and that wasn't Earl Scheib stuff. It was gorgeous! Hence with my parts, I finished that car out at 1.6 million yen. I put the original lid/wing (also sprayed when we painted) back on before I sold it a year later. Say, you never heard back from those guys about which wing was possibly on my BTR III did you??
