i thought i would hate it.
i have a Tacoma, that is like a scalpel by comparison. but my work truck: lovingly named "the Mother ship", is a Ford F350, longassbed.
i have gotten so used to it. i tend to back it into parking spaces to facilitate an easy get away. the room, the solid feel, the panoramic view. not bad. i know the corners, and can keep them out of harms way.
not sure i can run it down San Fransisco streets to eat a nice dinner out, but up here in Sonoma County,,not bad! put my feet to the fire when it comes to getting my next personal truck, it would probably be a 3rd Gen Tacoma 4x4, but i wouldn't hate a big 3/4ton, except the fuel mileage, i suppose. it would clear one, "bass-boat" hurdle.
