City Sewer. I had a plumber clean out the pipe about 10 years ago and he told me that I would probably need to do this every year (or replace the sewer line). After paying $150 I decided to buy my own power snake. It does the job but this time I waited a few years which is why there were so many roots. I need to stock up on copper sulfate so that it doesn't build back up.
I also have a clean out pipe that sticks out of the ground about a foot - this is out at the street. My only problem is that I can't get the snake to go towards the house; it turns towards the street and main sewer. The plumber had a piece of metal that he used to get his snake to curve towards the house - I need to make something like that so I don't have to pull the toilet out.
