Even though I love my 8.1 powered Avalanche, I realize most people have more sense than me. Before you buy a mid-sized SUV, at least drive an Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator with a 4.6. The irs in those vehicles gives them remarkable ride and handling and if you buy one a year old (current body style) the value per $ is best in class.
Toureg is great, but what about resale?
