Unfortunately old magazines are of zero value, and no one wants them.
A few years ago before smartphones, I was at the hospital for a CT scan and they stuck me in the waiting room. I looked for a magazine to read, and saw on top a National Geographic. It had an amazing cover story on the future missions to land men on the moon! I asked the nurse about it and she said a family donated a collection from "grandma" that the kids found when cleaning out the house. She said it was great, in that they had something interest to read, and if people took them home that was good.
I still find it really hard to throw the current Panorama or Christophorus in the recycle bin, but I just don't want them to pile up.
