As if 2020 wasn't bad enough for us all, something else has happened in late December.
Speedbumps are being installed on Mulholland Drive now.
This is a recent photo of Mulholland Drive just West of Coldwater Canyon in the Straightaway we call European Straight.
One of the Firemen from Station 99 told me that more Speedbumps are being planned to slow down the Cars that are racing late at night.
Since the Pandemic started I hear a lot more loud racing and Doughnut action happening at Benedict Canyon and Mulholland around Midnight on most nights.
Even the locals have been posting on the Neighborhood site called Next Door Beverly Park.

"Jerks again racing and roaring on Mulholland late at night. Yet again last night, cars repeatedly screaming around Mulholland/Beverly Glen way beyond speed limits, screeching their tires making illegal donut turns, with engines roaring past disabled mufflers, and congratulating themselves on waking our families up in the middle of the night. They could easily kill or maim themselves (in which case these the-hell-with-laws geniuses would doubtless sue our city for millions) or innocent drivers among us coming home. Are the police really unable to deal with this? Stake it out on a Friday night or two? Can’t some of the private security companies that patrol all around here not gather evidence and/or intervene?"
