Was that in Spamalot too? It was the last scene of "Life of Brian."

Yes, they added it to Spamalot. They just had to. King Arthur is depressed because they just endured vicious taunting by the Frenchies (and even lost a man to a flying cow) so Patsy tries to cheer him up.
From the script:
Arthur. This is a total bloody disaster, all my knights have fled and we're lost in a dark and very expensive forest.
Patsy. Well, it could be worse.
Arthur. Oh how could it possibly be worse?
Patsy. Cheer up, Sire. You know what they say.
Arthur. What do they say Patsy?
Patsy. (sings) Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle,
Don't grumble, give a whistle!
And this'll help things turn out for the best
And..
Always look on the bright side of life!
etc.
