How thick does a ...
Mattress topper have to be to relieve pressure points?
Problem: Being forced to sleep on my back due to heart surgery. I'm a stomach sleeper. This morning my left leg was numb from the pressure on a nerve at the top of my hip joint in back. I have a 'hard' mattress, firm is how it is described. Usually I love it. Not so much now.
Looking for input on a 'pad' I can add to the top that will 'soften' the ride so to speak.
I've slept on memory foam and find it too conforming/hot.
Will a new 'egg crate' do what I want?
I 'think' there may be one on the bed now, but it's worn out I'm sure. I haven't looked in a long time.
Any input is appreciated.
Getting old suks but beats the alternative.
