She looked at me and said, "Marv, nobody likes salmon patties except for you." Of course I put catsup on them.
Very nice, Marv! I love salmon patties......thanks for the inspiration!

But I had fresh paua frttters. I think you people who speak American call them abalone. So paua, onion, garlic, an egg and some rolled oats. Then shallow fried and served with a splash of lemon juice. No vegetables - no point in ruining a perfectly good meal.
I'm not great about photos, myself, Bill....don't feel bad. I'm usually in too much of a hurry to eat what I cook...lol.... Never had abalone but another thing now to consider for future dining experiences!

After doing some testing, I did find out that the absolutely best way to bake a potato is the old school rub with oil and salt and bake in the oven for 65-70 minutes at 400F. Flavor intensifies and is much better than microwave and even microwave + oven for 30 minutes. Like great BBQ, baked potatoes need time.
Agree, Shaun. That's how I've always done it. Will pick up some bacon, cheese, and green onions, and sour cream this week so I can go full monty!

There's another baked potato dish called "Twice Baked" potato that I will give a go as well. The cool temps we are experiencing is feeding my carb cravings!
