Me too! I looked at my yearbook not too long ago and wow, the skirts were short.
I have had just one wreck in my lifetime of driving that I caused. I was 16, and right in front of the high school a co-ed in a miniskirt bent down to pick up something she dropped. For some reason my attention to driving was just not happening, and I was forced to stare at her. Those 16 year old hormones are hard to resist. I ended up rear ending a Buick Roadmaster from the mid 50s and my 1960 VW bug took the brunt of damage.
Our school dress code was that a girl's skirt had to come to the level of her thumbs with her arms relaxed and at her side. Stand up now, hold your arms at your sides. Look where your thumbs are. That was the hemline of most of the girls.
