I live near the La Crosse airport. They have used AFFF foam both in training exercises and to put out crashes. While the airport is City of La Crosse, my house is not, and I have a well. The AFFF foam has contaminated the ground water with PFAS, shutting down two city wells and contaminating the wells of at least 40 residents near the airport.

Now on the other hand, the dry chemical will cause every electrical component it touches to corrode. I bought a fire damaged parts car and everywhere the chemical touched was rusted so bad it was worthless.
