This bike is made in China, yes. But as a caveat....it is distributed and offered through the company based in Texas known as Ricky Power Sports (RPS).
How does this make it different from other products made in China?
Well here's the difference, straight from the
RPS website:
RPS is located in Dallas, Texas, and is an import distributor and investment firm, emphasizing products manufactured in China and Taiwan. We work with a number of companies to help them introduce and sell their products within a competitive global market. As consumers know, the quality of Chinese manufacturing is variable, ranging from extremely poor to quite good. Utilizing a team of experienced analysts and engineers, RPS carefully assesses the quality and affordability of new products, ensuring that they are appropriate for the US market.
This might explain why this bike has received so many positive reviews.
As I said before....I already have a couple enduros made by Honda and Yamaha so that box is checked. This one has electric start and will be brand new and is very affordable - which will check even more boxes for me.
I'm buying this bike just to have fun with. I'm not taking it to freaking Alaska for a touring excursion....it's just for around here.
I'm also interested in some of the modifications other owners have done, so that will be fun to play with.
As always......YMMV!
