My dad had that problem every winter. He'd put lanolin on and then put gloves on his hands and sleep with the gloves on. Seemed to work for him. I never had the problem like he did but when my hands would get really dry I'd use Cornhuskers lotion. Something else I try to do is increase my water intake in the winter. It's easy to get dehydrated in the winter without even realizing you're dehydrated.
