The above recommendations are good: Brad Penn, Valvoline VR1, Driven, Mobil 1 (but only the 15w-50 and V-twin varieties), Royal Purple, etc. Usually we look for 20w-50 weight oils. There are a couple epic threads if you've got lots of time (days) to read them end-to-end.
I think the Mobil 1 15w-50 may be the easiest way to go (though YMMV). It's probably the most readily available/easiest found. Walmart sells 5-quart jugs for about $25 and will ship for free to your front door. But the mechanic that I use sells Brad Penn, so I've used that in the past. When I could find it, I used VR1.
