Anyone attending?
The Speedway has banned tent camping and are requiring fans to distance themselves from each other. But the biggest and most disappointing change is the garage area and the pre-race driver introduction and pre-race grid car line up will not be open to fans. Those who already bought tickets could delay until next year which a friend of mine elected to do. Therefore attendance will be down.
One change this year is the Roar Before the 24 was moved to the weekend before the Rolex which has it's pros and cons for the teams. It does mean they make the trip down here only once but they have less time to make any needed car adjustments and tuning.
I'll be driving down tomorrow morning and staying until the night practice is complete which will allow me to see all the cars run. The cars running at night is always a cool sight. The weather should be pretty nice too.
