I am convinced Porsche designers/builders intended for these things to take time and reasoning to disassemble. As much as it is maddening at times, it can be an enjoyable puzzle. That is, of course, unless you break something. The fact that dash parts like this have remained intact for 30, 40, 50 years on, is a testament to the over engineering that went into them.
