Yeah, it is fantastic. Around here the girls used to watch Blue Crush then go out and buy a brand new surfboard and wetsuit, use it once, then put it back on the second hand market the next weekend.
Now that the soft top surfboards have come out. A bit floatier, less dangerous, and can't help but catch a wave, they are out there. A friend of mine teaches PE at a girl's high school and asked them if they wanted surfing. Ha, he has a team of about 20 or 30 of them out there.
