Going back over the comments and thinking about teams who have won a super bowl, it struck me that a team doesn't need a great QB. The Ravens won a SB with Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco! The Steelers played in a SB with Neil O'Donnell and Kordell Stewart. I think Eli Manning won 2 super bowls. I'm not sure that "great" matters all that much.
If Jimmy G can stay healthy and the 9er's put the right players in place, he's capable of not only getting San Fran to a Super Bowl, but winning it.
