The EV "skateboard platform" is already the centerpiece of what will likely be the first serious EV start-up not named "Tesla" here in the US.

Rivian is already building a quad-motor pick-up and SUV for delivery to customers later this year. Ford has invested sevral hundred million as has Amazon. They are also building the new Amazon EV delivery vans using their skateboard platform. Basically all the moving mechanical bits are no more than something like 30 inches off the ground. Construction is occurring close to where I spent a good chunk of my youth - downstate Illinois in a former Mitsubishi plant.



It should definitely kick start some coach builders out there. What is even cooler is what a 4 EV motor truck can do.
