Tim: Looks like Florida refers to collector cars as "antique vehicles" and requires the car to be at least 30 years old to register as such. See,
https://www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/forms/83045.pdf -- significantly, appears the antique car plate (and waiver of future registration fees) would only be appropriate/applicable if the car is "used only in exhibitions, parades, or public display" -- i.e. isn't driven around.
