Ok, I had to break down and call a pro. I know 100% I have the line and load wires correctly ID'ed and installed on the right terminals. I also took the GFI outlet out of the circuit altogether, capping black to black and white to white. That brought the downstream stuff back to life, though still some funny business going on there with the garbage disposal now controlling the lights under the cabinets. Never saw that happen before. Anyway, whatever it is is beyond my abilities. Just got paid a huge bonus today, so I'll pay a pro and be done with it. Maybe I can sneak in a 220v outlet in the garage while he's here.
