Neither of which have anything to do with the drifting the GRM issue was devoted to. Drifting competition has as much to do with getting around a racetrack quickly as a car show or concourse does.

True there are cars involved in both, but in both the winner is determined subjectively, by judges, rather than objectively by the stopwatch.
I am not saying that drifting doesn't require a high level of car control skill, it clearly does. And it is probably a good thing if it gets more people involved in SCCA or NASA, I just hope it doesn't bring a bunch of
