With all the talk about the disparity among our classes, and the high percentage of people living in poverty, its easy to forget that even our poorest enjoy a standard of living unheard of in 80% of the world's population. And, they enjoy free medical (why would they care if they don't have medical insurance) and government subsidies for housing and food.
