There are tons of these in my neck of the woods, along with their van and single cab cousins... Toyota Hiace and Townace, Mitsubishi Delicas, Suzuki Carry, Nissan Atlas etc. A surprising number are JDM former fire vehicles. I usually get "the wave" from them when I'm out in my VW Doka, there is a certain brotherhood of oddball vehicles.

But seriously, when I say tons... I bet I have a 50/50 shot of seeing one in the parking lot of my local grocery during peak hours. Definitely more likely to see one than an air cooled 911. I will say, they're pretty cool (and apparently pretty adept as 4x4s) but mostly RHD automatics.
