Now I'm just playin with ya, and at 53 I'm just as easily speaking for myself. But I'm not driving that far without stopping. Not how I travel.. We have 2 EVs and a few ICE vehicles. We drive the EVs 99.9% of the time. With daily commutes of less then 100 miles, our 250+ mile range is more then enough to commute, run errands and get home with plenty of battery. Not sure where you live in Oregon, but according to Google from Lebanon to Portland is 80 miles. You could round trip that on a charge no problem. Thats real life use.
Most people don't drive 120mph on their commute to work, most don't do repeated runs to 60mph and most people on this board don't have real life experience owning a EV. But its interesting that most people with real life experience enjoy owning a EV and more times then not buy another one.
One thing we do have in common, I'm not interested in owning a new Turbo either.

All good points, Michael. You're relatively speaking, still a young guy...but it seems you've grown up to the point of knowing that fast cars tend to make you yawn, and think "so what?" because of today's real road driving conditions. Performance simply doesn't charm us like it used to. Comfort and other factors enter in.
Yep, I could probably go all electric and survive quite well, except for when I wanted to visit my cousin in the Spokane, WA. area.
But the current set-up of a Mustang for highway trips and the Camry for the runabout errands thing serves us well. Both have low miles. Both paid for. Really no logical reason to change, other than now wishing the Mustang had an automatic trans.
Also, oh yeah...I'd be doing lots of sagebrush watering on the drive to Burns and back home. I've been lobbying that in the seniors division of pool tournaments, men should be allowed two breaks per match instead of the one break the rules allow.
