The Atkinson Cycle lasts forever with synthetic oil. The hybrid drive train gets 35mpg at it's worst. It can accelerate but it really doesn't like to. It has sufficient passenger space for a full party and luggage inside. There a reason so many taxi companies have added it to their fleet.
My only two complaints are that the nav system GUI still sux in a sucky way, and the new 'star trek' wrapped dash layout is completely dysfunctional for practical use. |
agreed. the prius is a fantastic car, for those that just want a car.
they get a terrible rap, but we have had a few out on the lake, and on the ice, they handle really well actually. i wouldn't describe them as fun, but compared to any other FWD econobox made by anyone else, it was just as good.
i recommend 2nd gen pruis' to normies all day. they really are great for car stuff.
