Actually Michael I did drive my F250 so in theory yes I could have towed it home. Even ended up putting a deposit down on one but it doesn’t have a trailer so I’ll have to have it transported. But I’m pretty sure that had I driven my new 911 Turbo I could have easily refueled it with gasoline from the dozens of stations I passed. To answer the other part of your question yes, my family does regularly make trips through rural areas that would defy the range of any EV on the market. It’s easy to be a few hundred miles away from any charging station, not to mention a high voltage model like a Supercharger. I’m glad you love your Tesla but I find it odd the vitriol that some defend them with. The simple reality is that for a good portion of the country an EV still isn’t suitable for an only car. For the LA metro they make more sense, but the vast majority of our nation looks nothing like LA.

Perhaps the weirdest thing about this thread is that a post about the new 911 Turbo has turned into an EV fan fest on a Porsche forum.
