Yes a KX65.

His progression has been Chinese 50cc 2 stroke quad from the Easter bunny at 4. He mastered that thing in no time and I repaired it constantly.

Honda CRF50F - good Japanese made bike.

Honda CRF110F - Chinese made Honda that has had some minor issues. I got it cheap needing a timing chain so it had a rattle. The starter doesn’t work now.

Kawasaki KX65 - this thing seems pretty good.

The CRF110 is 7HP, the Kawasaki is 17HP and is a race bike. He absolutely loves it although he has only really ridden in on our road and on a track in our field where I cleared snow. I’ve ridden it and it rips.

He also rides our Honda Rancher quad but I’ve had to have him dial it back a few notches. He makes me nervous on that thing. If he flipped it, it could be game changing for him. We also have a Chinese 90 quad that he has ridden for a couple years but it’s perpetually broken and I’m not fixing it again.

He doesn’t want to race MX and I will build him a MX track on our farm for us to ride on. He loves trail riding - we have gone to the mountains to ride a few times over the past year and he likes it a lot. The KX might be a bit much for that (much like my CRF450X) but it’s still fun to get out and ride somewhere other than at our place.
