I assume you want something 'generic' to cover multiple cat brands? I use the $20 Autel fro quick analysis and for 'friends', but I have dedicated VW and Volvo software for my cars.
I find the dedicated stuff is best, but for multiple car makes I think the mechanics here can offer the best advice.
