Grumble grumble.
I noticed in the 75 degree heat wave the other day that the Air Conditioning on the Elky was not working much at all. It worked fine a several weeks back on a warm day.
So yesterday I figured after 9 years of no issues at all it was time to add some refrigerant. The gauges showed it was low, for sure so I recovered what was left, and replaced the expansion valve which always traps some crap and I have two of them in stock. I then pressure tested it with nitrogen, and I could see the pressure dropping. The compressor manifold was leaking. It is a rather a strange setup, but it works.
So off to the parts store for a new receiver dryer and compressor seals. I guess the car is just too old for parts availability for some items. No accumulators, no seals.
So today I will try the AC supply store that always had the good stuff in the past. I hope they still have it in stock. I don't want to have to order it on the internet, but that is the final source.
