I checked this weekend and my Macbook is a 13" Air from early 2015. i looked at their refurbs and they don't have anything earlier than 2020 and even then I think your saving $180 going refurbished, not anything to get excited about.
Right now I'm running Mojave which is a 2018 OS behind Catalina and the new one Big Sur. Here's one similar to mine that just popped up on "Offer Up" for $420 (gee, where did they come up with that price?)....
