Can’t help with the tech problem, but in today’s day and age cannot believe a dongle/electrical converter can’t made but you are going have to find an electrical guru.
Re changing the gearing...did the same years ago with my 1100s and did a post on here about...nothing short of a transformation of an already much modded bike.
