Can someone tell me how the washers under the oil-drain plug (for the tank) are oriented.

There are two washers apparently, one is thin and flat, the other is thicker and has a chamfer.

The car I just pulled them from has the thin one closest to the drain, and the thicker one over that with the chamfer facing "out". I would think the thin one should go farthest out.

Is this correct? The bolt is weeping some oil... Would copper washers to a better sealing job?
