We texted on FB for an hour last night. In that time I said I would come down and if I liked it I would Venmo him a deposit and make an appointment with the local dealer for the PPI. He actually said no deposit necessary, if you want it, it's yours. We texted today and he again said it's yours if you want it, he has other people interested so he's not concerned about selling it. I said it will go to a good home. He said great.
Clearly someone offered a few $K more for it and said I'll take it without the PPI. it was a $20K truck for $16.5.
Who knows, might have been a blessing in disguise.
