That has not been my experience. I have 4 screw holes in several doors because the newer ones have a hole that is either forward of or behind the old original set. I don't recall which it is. Spacing side to side is correct but front to back... not so much

I’m pretty sure the one pictured in the link is the same one I have. One of the pictures has all the dimensions and it matches up with my broken hinge. Keeping my fingers crossed!
