Thanks guys, I am thrilled with the truck. And very glad I called. He did in fact take a large deposit from someone on Friday who didn't need a PPI. And all of a sudden he had a ton of interest with the truck being up for a week with me being the first guy to ask about it. We talked it over and he saw the error in his ways, felt really bad about it, but the guy is coming at noon to take it. I told him I will come down tomorrow (yesterday, Saturday) early and if the truck checks out, I'll take it with no PPI necessary, you can refund the guy his deposit and tell him sorry. I know, not super smart not getting a PPI, time will tell if that was a good idea. He said the guy was paying cash. I said I would Venmo him. Done.
Get there at 10:45. Truck is amazing in person. Not perfect but truly excellent. Needs rear tires. We drove around LI for 45 minutes. Had a blast. Truck was stellar. Went to Venmo him and it says I'm past my limit for sending money. Paypal? Done. Drove the truck home. Friend drove me back down today to get my BMW.
Calling Hagerty tomorrow to get a $20K valuation policy on it and then get it registered.
Weather here sucks for pics. Wednesday is looking best for picture day.
