If you have webers I use 55 idles and just replaced my plugs with Champion N11YC which I think are just a little hotter. This in my 72 with an 83 twin plug 3.0L.
You can control plug fouling with hotter plugs , give it a try it's a cheap fix, but it's telling you that you are possibly running rich.
