Yes, the rear chassis crossmember was removed. We can get away with that because of the cage and the fact the engine crossmember is quite stiff when bolted on place. Some people use additional bracing but we have no indication that this is necessary. It sure makes engine removal easier especially if I want to keep the transaxle in place.
The engine is a stout 3.6L it makes 369 RWHP and and 290 ft-lbs RWTQ. The architect is William Knight and it was built by Mat Lowrance.
