My brother has found that when corrosion does happen it's better hidden by the side terminals. He found the bolts of the terminal ends weren't clamping like they should and the corrosion took place between the end and mating surface. This was on his diesel dualie 6.5T. There's a kit out there to replace the bolts with better ones which solves the problem, at least it did on his truck.
